What do Buckingham Palace, your house and The London Eye all have in common?
They were all designed by architects.
Just what does an architect
do?
How do I get to be one?
To be an architect you have to study for seven years on a
recognised university course. It does take a long time to
train as an architect and finding a well paid job at the end
is not guaranteed. Most students take about 8-9 years to qualify
and many of those who start an architecture course do not
make it through to the final qualification, leaving to pursue
other careers.
What other jobs can architects
do?
