Interview with Jonathan Glazer, film director Age 37,
Comes from London
Did you always want to work
in film?
Yet you went on to study a
degree in Theatre Design. Why not a film course?
Was this the right choice?
What did you do after
university?
A group of us started a theatre company and we spent a year
touring the fringe festivals and theatres which was a great
experience. Then I got some work making a corporate video
for which I earned £300 and felt like I was off. Then after
that I spent 6 months gardening, cleaning patios and living
in a squat!
Were you worried you weren't
going to make it?
How were you lucky?
Did the work flood in then?
Any advice for aspiring film
makers?
And when you wake up in the
mornings, do you look forward to work?
