Interview with Melanie Grant, broadcast journalist Age
27, Comes from London.
What does your work involve?
What would a typical day
be like for you?
I could be liaising with producers and presenters on different
programmes or I could be promoting events taking place on
the station on the website. I might be looking at the various
playlists from different programmes and putting that information
onto the site. I might be working on a competition or of course,
I could well be writing copy.
How did you manage to work
as a journalist at the BBC?
Did you always want to do
something like this?
How did you get your 'foot
in the door'?
What did you do then?
And what do you like most
about your job?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice for other aspiring
broadcasters?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
