Interview with Melanie Grant, broadcast journalist Age
27, Comes from London.
What does your work involve?
What would a typical day
be like for you?
How did you manage to work
as a journalist at the BBC?
Did you always want to do
something like this?
From my late teens on, yes I did. However, I didn't get good
enough grades at 'A' level to do a media degree but I did
a Product Management degree, a design related course, at South
Bank University. I was very interested in art and design and
I felt it was really important to get a degree.
How did you get your 'foot
in the door'?
What did you do then?
And what do you like most
about your job?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice for other aspiring
broadcasters?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
