Interview with Melanie Grant, broadcast journalist Age
27, Comes from London.
What does your work involve?
What would a typical day
be like for you?
How did you manage to work
as a journalist at the BBC?
Did you always want to do
something like this?
How did you get your 'foot
in the door'?
My turning point came when I managed to get work experience
at the BBC and then a contract as a Publicity Assistant there
during my year out (in a sandwich degree there is a 'year
out' when students are expected to work in a relevant industry).
It helped me to find work after I'd graduated.
What did you do then?
And what do you like most
about your job?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice for other aspiring
broadcasters?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
