Interview with Melanie Grant, broadcast journalist Age
27, Comes from London.
What does your work involve?
What would a typical day
be like for you?
How did you manage to work
as a journalist at the BBC?
Did you always want to do
something like this?
How did you get your 'foot
in the door'?
What did you do then?
Did you go back to the BBC? No, it's not that easy to get
into the BBC! I got a job at Sky Television as a PA. You really
do have to be prepared to work your way up. Then I moved to
Liberty Radio which was a great training ground and led me
on to find work as a Broadcast Assistant at BBC News Online
and in the BBC Regional News Service.
And what do you like most
about your job?
What about the not so good
bits?
Any advice for other aspiring
broadcasters?
And do you look forward to
work every day?
