Interview with Freia Turland, photographer. Age 25. Comes
from Cheltenham.
What does your job involve?
What's a normal day like?
Again, it depends what's on. There is a diary of advance notice
jobs so I may be going out on one of those. I could also be
taking pictures for a planned feature story or I could be
out covering news stories which obviously aren't planned and
just happen! We usually work by ourselves although we may
go with a journalist on a news story.
Did you always want to be
a press photographer?
How did you get into the press?
Which aspects do you like
the most?
Anything you don't like?
What about the financial rewards?
Any advice for aspiring press
photographers?
Do you look forward to work
every day?
